About

A little about me.

I'm Ben. I grew up on the Connecticut coast and live in Dallas now. I work in sales and tinker with automation on the side.

I've always been more of a generalist than a specialist - really, a revenue person who likes to build. Selling lets me connect with interesting people; building feeds my love of solving problems. I've never felt like I had to pick one.

Almost everything I build starts as something I don't know how to do yet. I hit the same manual, repetitive work in my day job, get curious about whether it can be automated, and figure it out as I go. I'd rather solve it once than do it by hand twice - and I try to leave behind tools simple enough for anyone to open up, understand, and use.

Off the clock

  • Outdoors & travel

I like getting outside and seeing new places - trails, road trips, and anywhere I haven't been yet. Fifteen countries so far, and counting.

  • Tinkering & homelab

My homelab is where I try things with no stakes - hobby dev projects, plus a lot of learning lately in networking, cybersecurity, and running AI models locally.

  • On the mat

I train Brazilian jiu-jitsu and do yoga. Both are a good excuse to get off a screen and think about nothing for a while.

Selected work

A few things I've built.

Each one started as a problem I wanted to solve - usually some repetitive task from work or daily life that was more fun to automate than to keep doing by hand. Some of these are for personal use. Others are live right now for you to use.
